Our Process

Transparency in process is as important to us as it is to you. The following is the process you can expect us to follow on each and every project we take on, no matter how large or small.

  1. Initial Contact

  At the time of our first communication with a potential client, we schedule a meeting at our showroom to discuss the client’s goal for the space. This is also a time for investigation of any potential issues that may occur during the building process to minimize surprises and help the building process run more smoothly. Most importantly, we walk our clients through our showroom to show them full size decking options and railing options for their space.

  2. Design and Proposal

  A site visit is conducted and we are able to put a design together based on the needs identified during the initial meeting. Our software allows us to provide a computer-aided design that helps the client visualize their space. Adjustments are made, as needed, based on the client’s needs and budget. Once the design is approved, we provide the client with a proposal that itemizes the different aspects of the project.

  3. Build

  From the moment construction begins, our cloud-based project management system allows us to maintain close contact with the client so that they are informed of all progress from the moment we break ground to our final clean-up. This technology provides the client real-time updates on our daily schedule and timeline, access to make selections for your project, and is a space for us to upload progress pictures and notes at the end of each day of construction. Any significant changes, updates, or information will always be provided in-person or by phone from your project manager.

  4. On-going support

  Just because the construction is complete, doesn’t mean our job is done! We take great pride in maintaining contact with our clients to provide support for any questions they may have. Depending on the product selection, Better Builders provides between a 5 to 10 year labor warranty and a 25 to 50 year product warranty.
